Document types
This page provides a list of document types within the DXP Ngā Kete portal, the information classification (eg: commercial or unspecified) and some examples.
Specifying the appropriate document type will be helpful for both you and the TEC – ensuring filters and searches will display the correct documents.
Investment documents
Mainly uploaded by the TEO and includes applications for off-Plan funding.
- Plan status letter (TEC)
- Strategic Intent
- Learner Success Plan
- Disability Action Plan
- Application for additional funding and supporting documents (when submitted as part of the Plan process)
In-year Additional Funding Request (AFR)
Should be used for all materials relating to in-year AFRs.
- Targeted in-year additional funding letters (e.g. TEC inviting an application)
- General guidance advising that applications are being accepted (TEC)
- AFR application (TEO)
- Includes supporting documentation (TEO)
Funding outcome - commercial*
Most Funding Outcome documents are provisioned by TEC.
- Funding Confirmation Letter
- Off-Plan Funding Outcome Letters
- Plan Amendment Letters
- Proposed Funding Letter (In-Part or Decline) with the Right of Response (with due date)
Funding washup - commercial*
Mainly provisioned by TEC.
- Washup Letters
- Application for repayment plan (TEO)
- Approval of repayment plan (TEC)
General fund information
Some of these documents may utilise the Response enabled (optional) or Response required functionality.
Fund-specific information examples:
- Information about a new fund
- Changes to fund details and rules

General documents
Should only be used when other document types are not suitable.
Non-fund specific examples:
- TEC Project Letters, e.g. DSR updates

Programme documentation
Note that funding approvals are likely to be covered by documents that would be loaded as a Funding Outcome document.
Example documents that would be uploaded by TEO:
- Programme approval docs (NQZA)
- Application for MC approval
- Application for NZA approval

- MC / NZA approval (non-system approvals)
Fees Free
- Fees Free Non-Recovery
- Fees Free Additional Payments
- Fee Free Multiple Providers report
- Fees Free all enrolments and cost data validation
- Fees reconciliation to SDR
* Only people within your organisation with a “DXP Ngā Kete – Commercial Documents User” role are able to view or upload Commercial documents. This role can be requested through ESL.
